Welcome to Menston Pottery

Pottery classes for adults of all abilities in my purpose-built studio in Menston, West Yorkshire.

Menston Pottery teacher

Hello, I am Nadine and I am the potter behind Menston Pottery and I have been working as a professional potter since 2017. I specialize in hand-building techniques especially slab building, pinching and Nerikomi. That said, I also love throwing on the potters wheel, I guess what you call a pottery nerd. :-)

Have you watched pottery on telly and always wanted to try it? Or are you a hobby potter looking for a place locally to "do your thing"? Here is the place for you!

Come, relax and get creative!

Beginners Pottery Class

Beginners Classes

I run regular Beginners classes which are a fabulous introduction to hand-building techniques, such as slabs, pinching and coiling as well as glazing and surface decoration.

Mixed Ability Pottery Class

Weekly Mixed Ability Classes

You have done ceramics at school or elsewhere and would like to get back into it? Or you are a dab hand already and want to do your own thing? Then this class is for you. I am always at hand but will let your creativity run away with you.

Handmade Pottery at Menston Pottery

Workshops

From time to time I will run workshops on specific topics such as making mugs, lasagne dishes or special glazing techniques.

For special events, please get in touch here:

121 wheel throwing

I offer individual sessions on the potters wheel for beginners on a 121 basis. Sessions will last 2 hours and include bisque firing of 2 pots at a cost of £80.

I will guide you through all the stages and support you at a pace that suits you. This session is a great starting point to learn how to throw.
